Most link tools were built for marketers clicking through a dashboard. This one is built to be called by your code. Authenticate with a Bearer key, create and update links over a clean REST API or the typed TypeScript SDK, subscribe to webhooks for click, create, update, and delete events, and let fast edge redirects handle the traffic. Whether you are minting thousands of links from a batch job, streaming click events into an internal dashboard, or validating deep links across native apps, everything is programmable and predictable.
Generating short links at scale is a chore
You need thousands of links from a nightly job or a signup flow, but the tools you have want you to paste one URL at a time. Without a real API and bulk import, link creation becomes a bottleneck you end up building around.
Click data is trapped in someone else's dashboard
Your analytics live in a UI you cannot query. Getting click events into your own warehouse, admin panel, or ops dashboard means scraping exports or polling on a timer instead of receiving events as they happen.
You can't react to a click the moment it happens
When a user opens a link, you want to trigger a workflow, update a record, or send a notification. Polling for changes is slow and wasteful, and most shorteners give you no push mechanism at all.
Deep links break silently across platforms
A link that opens the right app screen on iOS may fall flat on Android or web. Testing native app-link behavior by hand across devices is tedious, and a broken deep link usually surfaces as a support ticket, not an error log.
How Flyn helps
Built for developers and engineering teams
REST API and first-party TypeScript SDK
Create, read, update, and delete links over a clean REST API, or install the typed TypeScript SDK for autocomplete and end-to-end type safety. Authenticate with a single Bearer key. No wrappers to maintain, no guessing at response shapes.
Webhooks for every link event
Subscribe to link.click, link.create, link.update, link.delete, link.expired, and domain.verified and receive a payload the moment something happens. React to clicks in real time, sync state into your own systems, and drop the polling loops.
Bulk create and CSV import/export
Mint links in batches instead of one at a time, and move data in and out with CSV import and export. Ideal for seeding campaigns, migrating an existing link set, or generating links from a job without hammering the API one call per row.
Deep-link and app-link validators
Route users into the right screen across 16 native apps and validate app-link behavior before you ship. Confirm a link resolves correctly per platform so broken deep links surface in testing, not in production support.
Fast edge redirects
Redirects resolve at the edge, so the hop between a click and the destination stays quick no matter where the visitor is. Your links stay fast under load, which matters when a single campaign or release can drive a spike.
Smart routing by device and geo
Send visitors to different destinations based on their device or location, all defined through the API. Pair it with a 2-URL A/B split to test two variants, and add link cloaking or password protection when a destination needs to stay controlled.

Frequently asked questions
Can I create and manage links entirely through code?
Yes. The REST API covers create, read, update, and delete, and the first-party TypeScript SDK gives you a typed interface over the same endpoints. You authenticate with a Bearer key, so you can generate links from a backend job, a serverless function, or a signup flow without ever touching the dashboard.
How do webhooks work?
You subscribe to the events you care about: link.click, link.create, link.update, link.delete, link.expired, and domain.verified. When one fires, we send an HTTP request to your endpoint with the event payload. That lets you react to a click in real time, keep an internal dashboard in sync, or kick off a downstream workflow without polling.
Can I report conversions back from my own backend?
Yes, on Pro. Enable conversion tracking on a link and the redirect appends an unguessable click id to the destination URL. In the browser you report a goal with the Flyn tag, roughly 1.5 KB, which carries the id from the landing page to your goal page. Server side there is a postback endpoint that accepts the click id, an event type, a value, and a transaction id, so retried pings never double count and upsells count separately. Send a negative value to record a refund. Attribution runs 30 days, and Safari and iOS privacy rules can shorten what the browser stores to about 7 days. No personal data is collected and no third-party cookies are set.
Can I bulk-generate or import a large set of links?
Yes. Bulk creation and CSV import let you generate or migrate links in batches rather than one call per link, and CSV export gets your link data back out for reporting or backup. It is built for seeding campaigns and moving an existing link set over in one pass.
How do the deep-link tools help during development?
You can route into the right screen across 16 native apps and use the deep-link and app-link validators to confirm behavior per platform before release. That turns silent deep-link breakage into something you catch in testing instead of a production support ticket. Note that routing is based on device and geo, not language.
Is there a Chrome extension?
Yes, Flyn ships a published Chrome extension that lets you shorten and manage links from your browser using your normal account login. It complements the API rather than replacing it: use the extension for quick manual work and the API and SDK for automation.
What can I do on the free plan versus Pro?
Free covers 25 links a month with basic click analytics, QR codes, and link expiration, which is enough to prototype an integration. The REST API, TypeScript SDK, webhooks, bulk and CSV, smart routing, deep links, and unlimited links are Pro, at $12 a month, or $9 a month billed annually, or a $249 lifetime deal, with team workspaces at 4 dollars per seat.
