Newsrooms and media brands push links across newsletters, social feeds, syndication partners, and regional editions all day. Flyn gives you branded short links on your own domains, referrer and geographic click data with unlimited retention, and the bulk plus API tooling to generate and manage links at the volume real publishing demands. Ship faster, attribute smarter, and keep every reader routed to the right place, even through a full site relaunch.
Audience attribution scattered across channels
A story goes out in the newsletter, on three social accounts, and to two syndication partners, and by Monday nobody can say which channel drove the reads. Without a single source of click truth, editorial and audience teams argue over credit instead of doubling down on what works.
Testing headlines is guesswork
You know the headline and landing choice moves the numbers, but rewriting a promo tweet and eyeballing the results is not a test. Teams need a controlled way to split traffic between two variants and let the click data pick the winner.
Managing links at article volume
When you publish dozens of pieces a day, hand-building short links for every headline, every channel, and every campaign does not scale. Copy-paste workflows break, links get inconsistent, and reporting turns into a spreadsheet nightmare.
Relaunches quietly break every link you ever shared
A redesign or CMS migration can orphan years of URLs shared in newsletters, social posts, and partner sites. Every dead link is lost traffic and a worse reader experience, and most of the damage is invisible until the referral numbers drop.
How Flyn helps
Built for publishers and media companies
Links on your own brand, up to three domains
Every link carries your masthead instead of a generic shortener, which builds reader trust and can lift click-through (studies suggest up to about 34 percent). Run up to three custom domains at once, so your main title, a vertical, and a regional edition each keep their own branded identity.
Audience analytics you never age out
See referrer, country, city, device, OS, and browser for every click, so you can prove which channels and regions actually drive readers. Retention is unlimited on Pro, meaning last year's launch campaign is still there to benchmark against this year's, no data expiry cutting your reporting short. When the goal is subscriptions rather than reads, conversion tracking reports the signup back against the link that earned it.
A/B test headlines and landing pages
Point one branded link at two destination URLs and Flyn splits traffic between them, so you can pit two headlines, two landing variants, or two calling-card pages against each other and let clicks decide. It is a clean two-URL split, built to answer one question at a time without murky multi-way noise.
Generate links at article scale
Bulk-create and CSV-import links for a whole content calendar in one pass, then drive the same workflows programmatically with the REST API and TypeScript SDK. Webhooks push click events into your own pipelines, so link creation and reporting keep up with a full editorial schedule.
Smart routing for regional editions
Send one link to different destinations based on the reader's device and country, so a single share can quietly route audiences to the right regional edition or the right app store. Routing is based on device and geography, giving you clean control over where each reader lands without maintaining a dozen separate links.
Preserve your links through a relaunch
When you migrate CMS platforms or redesign the site, keep every previously shared URL working by managing redirects centrally in Flyn instead of scattering them across server configs. Your newsletter archive, social back-catalog, and partner links keep landing readers on live pages, so a relaunch does not quietly cost you referral traffic.

Frequently asked questions
Can we use our own publication domain for short links?
Yes. Pro supports up to three custom domains, so your flagship title, a vertical, and a regional edition can each brand their links. Branded links tend to earn more trust and clicks than generic shorteners.
How long is click data kept for audience reporting?
On Pro, retention is unlimited, so you can benchmark this quarter against campaigns from a year ago without your history expiring. Every click records referrer, country, city, device, OS, and browser, which is what audience teams need to attribute reads across channels.
Can we credit subscriptions to a channel, not just reads?
Yes, with conversion tracking on Pro. Turn it on for a link, add the Flyn tag to your site, and mark your subscribe-confirmed or paywall thank-you page as the goal, with the subscription value if you want it counted. Each link then reports conversions, conversion rate against verified human clicks, and total value beside its click data, so a newsletter placement that converts can be told apart from a social post that only travels. A click can convert for up to 30 days, and on Safari and iOS browser privacy can shorten stored attribution to about 7 days.
How does the A/B testing work?
You attach one branded link to two destinations, for example two headline landing pages, and traffic is divided between them so you can compare performance and keep the winner. Weighted rotation does the same across up to 12 destinations. The link's analytics page shows each destination's clicks and share, so the comparison is on the same screen as the link.
Can we create and manage links in bulk?
Yes. You can bulk-create links and import from CSV for an entire content calendar at once, and the REST API plus TypeScript SDK let you automate creation and updates from your own systems. Webhooks send click events out to your pipelines so reporting stays in sync at article volume.
Will our old links survive a site relaunch or CMS migration?
Yes. By managing redirects centrally in Flyn, you can keep previously shared URLs pointing to live pages after a redesign or platform move. That protects the traffic sitting in your newsletter archive, social back-catalog, and partner links, so a relaunch does not silently break reader journeys.
Can we route readers to different regional editions from one link?
Yes. Smart routing sends readers to different destinations based on their device and country, so a single share can point audiences to the correct regional edition or app store. Routing uses device and geography signals; it does not route by language.
