Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Flyn ("we", "our", "us") and the services available at flyn.to (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Flyn. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the authority to agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself or your organization.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Flyn to:

  • Create links to illegal content, malware, phishing sites, or scams
  • Distribute spam or unsolicited communications
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Impersonate another person or entity
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
  • Use automated tools to scrape or collect data from the Service beyond the API
  • Create links that redirect through multiple shorteners (link chains)
  • Create links to adult content, gambling, or other categories we prohibit or that are regulated in your jurisdiction
  • Create links at a volume or speed that indicates automated abuse, or attempt to exceed the link-creation limits we apply (which may be lower for new accounts)

We screen every created link against Google Safe Browsing and a content and category blocklist, we re-scan active links on an ongoing basis, and anyone can report a link for abuse. New accounts are subject to reduced link-creation limits. We reserve the right to disable any short link, revoke API keys, and suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms, with or without prior notice. When an account is suspended, its links are disabled and it can no longer create new links or use the API.

4. Service Plans & Billing

Flyn offers free and paid plans. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. Prices may change with 30 days' notice. You can cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of your billing period.

Refunds are available within 14 days of initial purchase. After that, no refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

5. Your Content & Data

You retain ownership of all links, custom domains, and data you create through Flyn. We do not claim ownership of your content. You grant us a limited license to host, display, and redirect your content as necessary to provide the Service.

You can export your data at any time via CSV export or the API. Upon account deletion, we will remove your data within 30 days.

6. API Usage

Access to the Flyn API is subject to rate limits based on your plan. You must not exceed your allocated rate limits. Excessive API usage that impacts service quality may result in temporary throttling. API keys are personal to your account and must be kept secret; if your account is suspended for a violation of these Terms, your API keys are revoked and API access is disabled.

7. Link Permanence

Active short links will continue to redirect as long as your account is in good standing. We do not recycle or reassign slugs from deleted links. If your account is terminated for violation of these Terms, links may be disabled.

8. Service Availability

We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance with reasonable notice. We are not liable for downtime caused by factors outside our control (network issues, DNS propagation, etc.).

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Flyn shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

10. Intellectual Property

The Flyn name, logo, and all associated branding are our trademarks. The Service, including its design, code, and documentation, is protected by copyright. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without written permission.

11. Termination

You may close your account at any time from the Settings page. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 30 days in advance. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
