Pre-Migration Checklist
Complete these steps before starting the migration to ensure a smooth transition.

Step 1: Export from Sniply
First, export your existing links from Sniply so you can import them into Flyn.
Log in to Sniply
Go to app.snip.ly and sign in to your account.
Navigate to Links
Open the Links or Snips section from the dashboard.
Export your links
Use the export feature to download your snips as CSV. If unavailable on your plan, contact Sniply support for a data export.
Note your CTA configurations
Sniply's CTA overlays do not export. Document your CTA messages, button text, and destination URLs separately.
Step 2: Import into Flyn
Upload your exported links into Flyn. The import wizard auto-maps columns and preserves your slugs.
Create a Flyn account
Sign up at flyn.to/signup, free, no credit card required.
Open Dashboard > Import
Access the Flyn import tool.
Upload the Sniply CSV
Upload and map columns. Sniply's destination URL and slug fields map to Flyn's import format.
Confirm the import
Review link preview and click "Import All." Note: CTA configurations need to be recreated manually.
Step 3: Domain & DNS Migration
Point your custom domain to Flyn so existing short links keep working seamlessly.
Find your CNAME record
In your DNS provider, locate the CNAME for your branded domain used with Sniply.
Update the CNAME
Change the value from lb-production.sniply.site to link.flyn.to.
Add domain in Flyn
Go to Settings > Domains > Add Domain and enter your custom domain.
Verify DNS
Wait 5-30 minutes for propagation. Flyn confirms once the domain is active.

CTA overlays no longer appear on shared pages
Flyn uses standard 301/302 redirects, not page overlays. Sniply's CTA overlay feature is unique to their platform. Consider using Flyn's custom OG metadata and A/B testing for campaign optimization instead.
Cannot export snips from Sniply
Some Sniply plans restrict export. Contact Sniply support at [email protected] to request a full data export under GDPR/data portability rights.
Snip URLs pointing to third-party content
Sniply links overlay CTAs on third-party pages. In Flyn, these become standard redirects to the original page. The overlay functionality is not replicated.
