Step 1: Export from Switchy
First, export your existing links from Switchy so you can import them into Flyn.
Log in to Switchy
Go to app.switchy.io and sign in to your account.
Navigate to Links
Open the Links section from the Switchy dashboard.
Export links
Click the export button to download your links as CSV. If bulk export is not available on your plan, use the Switchy API.
Verify the CSV
Ensure the CSV contains destination URLs, slugs, and any custom metadata you need to preserve.
Step 2: Import into Flyn
Upload your exported links into Flyn. The import wizard auto-maps columns and preserves your slugs.
Create a Flyn account
Sign up at flyn.to/signup, no credit card required.
Open Dashboard > Import
Access the import tool from the Flyn dashboard.
Upload your Switchy CSV
Upload the exported CSV. Map columns as needed in the import wizard.
Confirm import
Preview links and click "Import All" to finalize.
Step 3: Domain & DNS Migration
Point your custom domain to Flyn so existing short links keep working seamlessly.
Find your DNS settings
Log in to your domain registrar and locate the CNAME record for your branded domain.
Update the CNAME
Change the CNAME value from links.switchy.io to link.flyn.to.
Add domain in Flyn
In Settings > Domains > Add Domain, enter your custom domain.
Verify DNS propagation
Allow 5-30 minutes for propagation. Flyn confirms with a green checkmark.

Custom thumbnails not appearing after migration
Switchy's custom thumbnail feature does not transfer. In Flyn, use the custom OG metadata feature to set preview images, titles, and descriptions for each link.
Retargeting pixels not firing
Switchy pixel configs do not carry over in the CSV import, but Flyn Pro natively fires retargeting pixels on links (Meta, Google, TikTok + 9 more), so just re-add them in Flyn. Prefer a cookieless approach? Tag links with the UTM builder and build audiences in your ad platform.
Export file is empty or incomplete
