Export your Replug links, import into Flyn, and update your DNS, all in under 10 minutes

Last updated: April 2026

Pre-Migration Checklist

Complete these steps before starting the migration to ensure a smooth transition.

  • 1
Export all links from Replug as CSV (Replug Links > Export to CSV) and verify the file downloaded correctly
  • 2
Document your current custom domain DNS settings (screenshot recommended)
  • 3
Note any links using retargeting pixels, CTA overlays, or bio pages so you can decide what to recreate
  • 4
Ensure your Flyn account is on the right plan for your link volume
  • 5
Notify your team about the upcoming migration window

Step 1: Export from Replug

First, export your existing links from Replug so you can import them into Flyn.

1

Log in to your Replug account

Sign in to your Replug dashboard at app.replug.io.

2

Open the Replug Links screen

Click "Replug Links" in the top navigation bar. All of your branded links appear with their analytics data.

3

Click Export to CSV

Use the "Export to CSV" button in the top-right corner of the links screen. A pop-up lets you select which category of links to export and uncheck any fields you don't need.

4

Download the CSV

Click Export, Replug generates the CSV in your account. Download the file; it includes destination URL, short link, slug, domain, creation date, and tags. You can also use the Replug API to export links programmatically.

Step 2: Import into Flyn

Upload your exported links into Flyn. The import wizard auto-maps columns and preserves your slugs.

1

Create a Flyn account

Sign up at flyn.to/signup, no credit card required. Free accounts can import up to 25 links.

2

Go to Dashboard > Import

Open the Flyn dashboard and click the "Import" button in the top navigation.

3

Upload your Replug CSV

Drag and drop the exported CSV or click to browse. Flyn auto-maps Replug columns (destination URL, slug, tags) to the correct fields.

4

Review and confirm

Preview the imported links. Flyn preserves your original slugs, destination URLs, and tags. Click "Import All" to finalize.

Step 3: Domain & DNS Migration

Point your custom domain to Flyn so existing short links keep working seamlessly.

1

Find your current DNS record

In your domain registrar (GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Namecheap, etc.), locate the CNAME record for your branded short domain (e.g., go.yourcompany.com) currently pointing to Replug.

2

Update the CNAME target

Change the CNAME value to link.flyn.to, do not change the hostname itself.

3

Add your domain in Flyn

In the Flyn dashboard, go to Settings > Domains > Add Domain. Enter your branded short domain and click Verify.

4

Wait for DNS propagation

DNS changes typically propagate within 5-30 minutes. Flyn will show a green checkmark once the domain is verified.

What Transfers

Here is what carries over from Replug to Flyn and what needs to be reconfigured.

ItemTransfersNotes
Destination URLsAll long URLs are preserved exactly as-is
Custom slugsYour /my-slug paths carry over
TagsTag labels map to Flyn tags
Custom domainsUpdate the CNAME for your branded domain to link.flyn.to
Click analyticsHistorical analytics stay in Replug, new clicks tracked in Flyn
Retargeting pixelsRecreateConfigs do not auto-transfer, but Flyn Pro natively fires retargeting pixels on links (Meta, Google, TikTok + 9 more), so re-add them in Flyn
CTA overlays & bio pagesReplug-specific features; Flyn focuses on links, analytics, and routing

Post-Migration Verification

After completing the migration, work through this checklist to verify everything is working.

  • Verify 5-10 sample short links resolve to correct destinations
  • Confirm custom domain shows a green checkmark in Flyn dashboard
  • Check that new clicks are appearing in Flyn analytics
  • For links that relied on Replug pixels, re-add retargeting pixels in Flyn Pro (Meta, Google, TikTok + 9 more), or set up UTM-based audiences
  • Update any integrations or API calls to use Flyn endpoints
  • Keep your Replug account active for 30 days as a safety net

Troubleshooting

Common issues and how to resolve them.

Links returning 404 after migration

DNS propagation can take up to 30 minutes. Clear your browser cache and try again. Use a DNS checker tool (like whatsmydns.net) to verify the CNAME is pointing to link.flyn.to.

Retargeting pixels no longer firing

Replug pixel configs do not carry over in the CSV export, but Flyn Pro natively fires retargeting pixels on links (Meta, Google, TikTok + 9 more), so re-add them in Flyn. Prefer cookieless? Tag links with the UTM builder and build audiences in your ad platform.

CTA overlays or bio pages missing

CTA overlays, widgets, and bio-link pages are Replug-specific features and are not part of a link export. Flyn focuses on links, analytics, A/B testing, and routing, recreate CTAs/bio pages in a dedicated tool if you still need them.

CSV import showing mapping errors

Ensure your CSV uses UTF-8 encoding. If Replug changed their export format, use the manual column mapping in the Flyn import wizard to match the destination URL, slug, and tags fields.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to migrate from Replug to Flyn?

Most migrations complete in 5-10 minutes. The actual import takes seconds, the majority of time is spent on DNS propagation for custom domains, which typically takes 5-30 minutes.

Will my existing short links break during migration?

If you use a custom domain, there is a brief window (usually under 5 minutes) during DNS propagation where some requests may not resolve. To minimize downtime, lower your DNS TTL to 60 seconds before switching the CNAME.

Do my Replug retargeting pixels transfer to Flyn?

The pixel configs are not part of the CSV export, but Flyn Pro natively supports retargeting pixels on links (Meta, Google, TikTok + 9 more), so just re-add them in Flyn. You can also use the built-in UTM builder to build audiences in your ad platform, a cookieless approach.

Do my Replug analytics transfer to Flyn?

Historical click data stays in Replug. Once your domain points to Flyn, all new clicks are tracked in Flyn's analytics with richer data including real-time streams, city-level geo, and A/B test metrics, with no monthly click limit.

What happens to my Replug CTA overlays and bio pages?

Those are Replug-specific marketing features and do not migrate. Flyn focuses on links, deep analytics, A/B testing, geo-routing, and deep links. If CTAs or bio pages are core to your workflow, keep them in a dedicated tool alongside Flyn.

Can I keep using Replug and Flyn simultaneously?

Yes. You can create new links in Flyn while keeping your Replug account active. However, a custom domain can only point to one service at a time via CNAME.

Is there a limit on how many links I can import?

Free accounts can import up to 25 links. Flyn Pro supports unlimited link imports, there is no cap on CSV size or API bulk creation, and no monthly click ceiling once imported.
