How Much Does Rebrandly Cost? Pricing Explained
Rebrandly built its name on branded short links and a domain marketplace. Flyn ships analytics, A/B testing, and webhooks at one-third the price. Here is how to choose.

How much each Rebrandly plan really costs
Rebrandly has been around since 2015 and was one of the first platforms to put custom-domain link management at the center of the product instead of treating it as an enterprise upsell. With over 200,000 users, an active domain marketplace, and a wide integration roster, it earned a real category position. Flyn is a newer challenger with a different bet: more analytics, more growth features (A/B testing, deep links, dynamic QR), webhooks for developers, and a Pro plan priced to be a no-brainer for individual operators and small teams.
Both are good products. They are aimed at different buyers. This comparison walks the seams so you can pick the right side rather than picking a winner.
What Rebrandly is genuinely best at
- Managing 5-20+ branded domains in a single workspace
- Discovering and registering premium branded domains via the in-app marketplace
- Tight workflow integrations with marketing automation tools like Zapier, Buffer, and Hootsuite
- Enterprise-grade brand controls (per-domain branding, slugs reservations, link policies)
What Flyn is genuinely best at
- Deep, real-time analytics with city-level geo and period-over-period comparisons
- Built-in A/B testing with a visual ratio slider
- Dynamic QR codes with scan tracking baked in
- Deep links that open content directly in 16+ native apps
- Developer-first API with webhooks, generous rate limits, and typed SDKs
- Aggressive pricing, Pro at $9/month annual, lifetime at $249
Who this guide is for
If you are a growth marketer, indie founder, agency owner, or operator considering a switch, or someone evaluating both tools for a new project, this comparison covers the eight axes that actually matter: pricing, custom domains, analytics, A/B testing, API, link features, team collaboration, and migration.
Pricing: where the math diverges
This is the single biggest deciding factor for most teams.
| Plan | Rebrandly | Flyn | Winner |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 10 branded links, 1 domain | 25 links, 1 domain | Flyn (2.5x links) |
| Entry paid | $11/mo (Essentials, 250 links) | $9/mo annual (Pro, unlimited) | Flyn, unlimited links + more features |
| Mid paid | $32/mo (Professional, 1,500 links) | $9/mo annual (Pro) | Flyn, 72% cheaper |
| Growth tier | $99/mo (Premium, 3,500 links) | $9/mo annual (Pro) | Flyn, 91% cheaper |
| Lifetime option | Not offered | $249 one-time | Flyn |
| Custom domains | Up to 25 on Premium | 3 on Pro (more via team workspace) | Rebrandly (large portfolios) |
| Team seats | Included on $99+ tiers | $4/seat add-on on Pro | Flyn (better unit economics) |
The per-link pricing trap
Rebrandly's pricing scales by the number of branded links you create per billing period. If you cross a tier boundary, you pay the next plan up for the whole month. Most teams underestimate how many links they create, every blog post is 5+ links, every campaign is 3-10, every email send is at least one. Crossing 250 links in a month is trivial. Crossing 1,500 is normal for an active marketing team.
Flyn removed link counts from the pricing model entirely. Pro is unlimited. That kills the "should I delete this old link?" anxiety and the "do we need to upgrade this month?" Slack conversation.
The lifetime plan
Flyn offers a one-time $249 lifetime Pro license. Rebrandly does not. Over three years, the comparison is $249 vs $1,152 (Rebrandly Professional). For long-running side projects, indie SaaS, or agencies, lifetime usually wins outright.
If you publish 50-100 branded links per month and use Rebrandly Essentials at $11/month, you're technically saving money over Pro, but you're losing A/B testing, webhooks, deep links, and city-level analytics. The "cheaper plan" is usually a feature downgrade in disguise. Run the side-by-side on features first, then on price.
Analytics: surface vs depth
If you ship branded links and never look at the data, you're leaving money on the table. The question is which platform makes the data useful without exporting to a BI tool.
What Rebrandly ships
- Click counts per link
- Geographic breakdown (country-level on most plans, city on higher tiers)
- Referrer data
- Device and browser breakdowns
- Standard date-range filtering
- CSV export
What Flyn ships on Pro
The free plan counts every click as it happens; Pro adds the breakdowns below.
- Real-time click streams, events appear in the dashboard within seconds
- Period-over-period comparisons, "this week vs last week" rendered automatically
- Auto-granularity, Flyn picks hourly, daily, or weekly buckets based on the date range you choose
- City-level geo on Pro, not gated behind an enterprise tier
- Per-link analytics pages with the full dashboard scoped to one link
- UTM-aware segmentation, pair with our UTM Parser to audit tagging consistency
- Sharable filtered views, every filter combination is a URL you can paste into Slack
"We ran Rebrandly Professional for two years. The analytics were enough until the moment we needed to actually answer 'why did clicks spike Tuesday in Berlin?' We could see the spike but couldn't segment by referrer at city level. Switched to Flyn, saw it was a Reddit thread we hadn't known about, and got 4x the budget for that channel the next month.", Dane, Director of Marketing, B2B SaaS
Where Rebrandly's analytics still win
Rebrandly's analytics integrate cleanly with Google Analytics and a few enterprise BI tools out of the box. If your team's reporting stack already lives in GA4 + Looker Studio and you don't want to add a Flyn data source, Rebrandly's existing integrations are zero-friction. Flyn ships UTM-aware analytics that obviate most of this, but the lift is real on the GA side.
A/B testing: the missing feature on Rebrandly
This is the most concrete gap between the two platforms.
Rebrandly
Rebrandly does not currently offer native A/B testing for link destinations. To run experiments on link routing, you need to use an external tool (Google Optimize when it existed, or a server-side workaround through your own infrastructure) or run two separate links and split traffic manually via campaign tagging, which defeats the purpose of having a single tracked link.
Flyn
Flyn Pro ships A/B testing as a built-in feature on every link. Open any link, toggle A/B testing on, paste your two destination URLs, and drag the visual slider to any ratio between 1/99 and 99/1. Flyn handles the randomization at the redirect level, the same visitor consistently lands on the same variant (via a hashed cookie) so your conversion data stays clean. Variant performance is tracked in the analytics dashboard with statistical significance hints.
What you can actually test
- Landing page V1 vs V2 in a paid ad campaign
- Two different sign-up flows from a podcast episode
- App store vs landing page from a QR code on print collateral
- Two CTAs in an email newsletter with the same short link
- Affiliate vs direct destinations from a specific influencer
A/B testing on short links is not a substitute for full-funnel experimentation. Treat it as the fast pre-test, confirm a directional winner in a few hundred clicks, then validate with proper conversion data on your analytics stack. Our A/B testing short links guide walks through the methodology and the gotchas.
Developer API and integrations
Both platforms have public APIs. The difference is in what they prioritize.
Rebrandly's API surface
- REST endpoints for link create/update/delete
- Domain operations (verify, list, configure)
- Workspace and account management
- Mature documentation with code samples
- Tight Zapier integration for no-code workflows
- Native integrations with Buffer, Hootsuite, Sprout Social
Flyn's API surface
- Full REST coverage for links, domains, analytics
- Webhooks, real-time event streaming for click events, link creation, A/B test conversions
- First-party TypeScript SDK with full type coverage
- Code samples in JS, TS, Python, and curl for every endpoint
- Generous rate limits, 60 req/min reads, 10 req/min mutations
- Chrome extension for one-click shortening
- Developer docs structured for "I want to add link shortening to my app"
Webhooks: the big difference
Rebrandly does not currently offer webhooks. To get real-time event data, you have to poll the API on a schedule, which means delayed updates and wasted API calls. Flyn pushes events to your endpoint within seconds, fire a Slack alert when a tier-one link gets a click spike, sync events to your warehouse, trigger a marketing automation. This single capability changes what you can build.
Integration ecosystem
Rebrandly has more native integrations with marketing automation suites. If your stack lives in Zapier and you connect it to Buffer, Hootsuite, Mailchimp, and HubSpot, Rebrandly's pre-built connectors will save you a few hours. Flyn covers the same use cases via its REST API and webhooks, which connect to Zapier through webhook triggers, slightly more setup, more flexibility long-term.
Link features: routing, security, and growth tools
This is where Flyn pulls ahead on raw capability.

The deep links example
Both platforms can mobile deep-link in theory, Rebrandly handles iOS Universal Links and Android App Links on higher tiers. Flyn ships deep links for 16+ specific platforms (Instagram profiles, TikTok videos, Spotify tracks, YouTube channels, Shopify products, Calendly bookings, etc.) with a UI that doesn't require you to read iOS docs. For platform-specific deep linking, Flyn's breadth is significantly wider.
Auto-expiry and password protection
Flyn lets you set a TTL or click cap on any link. When the timer or the cap hits, the link 404s. Useful for time-limited offers, gated content, beta access, and security-sensitive shares. Combined with password protection, you get a one-link gating system that Rebrandly doesn't natively replicate.
Team collaboration and seats
Rebrandly bundles team features into mid-tier plans; Flyn separates them as an add-on. Different philosophies, different price points.
Rebrandly's team model
- Workspaces with multiple members on the $99/month Premium tier and above
- Roles: owner, admin, editor, viewer
- Shared link library and custom domains
- Per-user activity log
- SSO available on enterprise tier (quote-based)
Flyn's team model
- $4/seat add-on on top of any Pro plan ($9/month annual)
- Roles: owner, admin, member, viewer
- Shared link library, custom domains, folders, tags
- Per-user audit trail
- Individual analytics views with consistent underlying data
- Per-user API keys with role-scoped permissions
The 5-seat math
Rebrandly Premium with 5 seats: $99/month base ($1,188/year).
Flyn Pro + 5 seats: $9 annual + (5 × $4) = $29/month ($348/year).
Rebrandly's seats are bundled into a plan that also gives you 3,500 links and 25 domains. Flyn unbundles, which means a 5-person team that only needs 3 domains saves ~$840/year. More on team setup for SaaS.
Migration: 30 minutes, links keep working
The big migration anxiety: "we have 1,800 links, our QR codes are printed, our email signatures point at our domain, what breaks?"
What survives the move
| Asset | Survives? |
|---|---|
Custom-domain short URLs (go.brand.com/launch) | Yes, completely |
Rebrandly-domain links (rebrand.ly/abc) | No, these stay with Rebrandly |
| UTM tagging on destinations | Yes, preserved exactly |
| QR codes printed in materials | Yes (if pointed at custom-domain links) |
| Historical click totals | Exported to CSV; new clicks track in Flyn |
| Tags & folder structure | Yes, mapped during import |
The three steps
- Export from Rebrandly. Dashboard → Settings → Export Links. You get a CSV with slug, destination, tags, and creation date.
- Bulk import to Flyn. Use the dashboard's bulk import or our guided migration page. Flyn preserves slugs and destinations exactly. For 2,000 links, expect ~90 seconds.
- Repoint the CNAME. In your DNS provider, switch the CNAME on
go.yourbrand.comfrom Rebrandly's target tocname.flyn.to. DNS propagates in 5-30 minutes. Your short URLs keep working throughout.
API integrations
If you have a SaaS app that creates links via Rebrandly's API, you'll need to update the base URL and auth token, plus any payload differences. Flyn ships a side-by-side API reference and most migrations require less than an hour of engineering time. Webhooks are an upgrade, not a 1:1 swap.
The verdict: pick by buyer profile, not by feature count
Here is the most honest framing we can give:
Choose Rebrandly if
- You manage 5+ branded domains across multiple brands or regions and you want them all in one workspace
- You actively use the domain marketplace to discover and register short branded TLDs
- Your team's automation stack lives in Zapier + Buffer + Hootsuite and you don't want to add API glue
- Your buyer has a per-domain policy requirement (e.g. enforced UTM templates, slug reservations per brand)
- You operate at enterprise scale with a procurement process that already approves Rebrandly
Choose Flyn if
- You're a solo creator, founder, marketer, or agency under 25 seats
- You currently pay Rebrandly $32-$99/month and want unlimited links at $9/month annual instead
- You need built-in A/B testing and don't want a separate experimentation tool
- You want deeper analytics, city-level geo, period comparisons, UTM segmentation
- You're building integrations and need webhooks + a typed SDK
- You ship campaigns that use dynamic QR codes and deep links to native apps
- You'd prefer to pay $249 lifetime once instead of renewing forever
The honest bottom line
Rebrandly is a mature, well-built tool with a clear positioning around branded domains and integrations. For the buyer profile it targets, enterprise, large agencies, multi-brand operations, it remains an excellent choice. For everyone else (which is most of the link-shortening market), Flyn delivers more capability at one-third the cost. If you're unsure, spin up a free Flyn account and run a side-by-side on a single campaign for two weeks. The data will decide for you.
