Cap a link at a set number of clicks, then send the rest somewhere else
Give any short link a maximum number of clicks. Flyn counts only real human visitors toward the limit, and once it is reached, the link stops sending people to the original page and quietly forwards them to a fallback URL you pick, or to a clean closed page if you leave it blank.

Most links run forever, which is a problem when the offer behind them should not. A limited drop, a one-per-person coupon, a capped beta, or a paid-ad link with a fixed budget all need a link that knows when to stop. A click limit gives you exactly that: set a number, and Flyn caps the link at that many real clicks. Bots and scrapers never burn through your allowance, because the limit runs on the same human-only click count that powers your analytics. When the cap is hit, the link flips to a fallback URL you choose, a waitlist, the next drop, a sold-out page, or a plain closed page if you set none. The limit is enforced at the redirect itself and before any password prompt, so a shared password cannot sneak past it, and the fallback URL is safety-scanned on every save just like a normal destination. It is a Pro feature, and you can change the cap or the fallback at any time without changing the short link.
How it works
Up and running in minutes
Set a click limit
Open the Advanced tab when you create or edit a link and enter the maximum number of clicks it should allow. Any whole number works, from a 20-person early drop to a 5,000-redemption coupon. Leave it empty and the link behaves normally, with no cap.
Choose where the overflow goes
Add a fallback URL for visitors who arrive after the limit is reached: a waitlist form, the next campaign, a sold-out or closed page, or your homepage. Leave it blank and Flyn shows a clean 'this link is no longer available' page instead.
Share one link and let it self-govern
Post the same short link everywhere. Flyn counts each real human click and, the moment the cap is reached, automatically starts forwarding new visitors to your fallback. There is nothing to switch off by hand and no way for the offer to overrun.
Why it matters
What you get
A hard cap on real clicks
Set the exact number of clicks a link may receive. Once it is reached, the original destination is closed off automatically, so a limited offer, a private share, or a paid campaign can never quietly run past the number you intended.
Counts people, not bots
The limit runs on the same bot-filtered click count as your analytics. Scanners, link previews, and crawlers do not eat into your allowance, so the cap you set is the number of genuine visitors the link will actually serve.
Overflow goes where you choose
Point everyone after the cap at a fallback URL: a waitlist, the next drop, a sold-out page, or your homepage. Leave it blank for a clean closed page. Either way, late visitors land somewhere useful instead of hitting a dead link.
The cap cannot be bypassed
The limit is enforced at the redirect and before any password step, so a shared password cannot slip past it. The fallback URL is checked against Safe Browsing on every save, exactly like a normal destination, so overflow traffic stays safe too.
Change it anytime, same link
Raise the cap for a restock, lower it to close early, or swap the fallback to the next offer, all without changing the short URL. The link you already printed, posted, or turned into a QR code keeps working while the rules behind it update.
Scarcity that actually holds
A 'first 50 people' claim only converts if it is true. A click limit makes the deadline real: the link enforces it for you, so early-bird drops, flash deals, and capped invites stay honest without you watching the counter.

Frequently asked questions
What is a click limit?
A click limit is a cap on how many times a short link will send people to its destination. You set a number when you create or edit the link, and once that many real clicks have happened, the link stops serving the original page and switches to your fallback instead.
Do bots count against the limit?
No. The limit is measured with the same bot-filtered click count as your analytics, so scanners, link-preview fetchers, and crawlers do not use up your allowance. The cap reflects genuine human visitors, which is why the number you set is the number of real people the link will serve.
What happens when a link reaches its limit?
New visitors are forwarded to the fallback URL you set, such as a waitlist, the next drop, or a sold-out page. If you did not set one, Flyn shows a clean page explaining the link is no longer available. The original destination is no longer reachable through that link.
Can someone get past the limit with the password?
No. The cap is checked at the redirect and before the password step, so a password-protected link that has hit its limit still sends visitors to the fallback, not the real destination. A shared password cannot be used to slip past a reached cap.
Can I change the limit or the fallback later?
Yes. You can raise the cap for a restock, lower it to close a drop early, or point the fallback at a new offer at any time, and the short link itself never changes. Anything you already shared or turned into a QR code keeps working with the updated rules.
